[MINISTERIAL SIDE EVENT : RESILIENT AND INCLUSIVE CREATIVE ECONOMY FOR A THRIVING FUTURE]

As stated in the UN resolution “International Year of Creative Economy for Sustainable
Development 2021” (A/RES/74/198), the creative economy has contributed to sustainable
development in the economic, social, and environmental areas. The creative economy has fostered economic growth and innovation, eradicated poverty, created full and productive
employment, decent work for all, improved the quality of life and empowerment of women
and young people, and reduced inequality within and among countries.

We believe that the creative economy’s spirit of inclusivity has a proven track record that is
pertinent to pave the way for establishing a resilient society that will respond to disruptions
and bring the system back and provide solutions for a thriving future.

On this ministerial side event, held on Friday, 24th September 2021, we talk about encouraging more power to be more resilient and inclusive toward creative economy for nations to get thriving future.
